Improving emergency lighting sustainability with LEDs 

Legrand is one of the largest providers of electrical and digital infrastructures globally with a presence in over 90 countries. Categories covered by Legrand’s product range include building control systems, audio visual, data power control, lighting and electrical wiring systems.

LED technology has resulted in a dramatic reduction in the environmental impact of lighting. Energy consumption is a fraction of that of other lighting technologies. In this application LEDs are used for an emergency lighting system for commercial applications. 

Porticos Asia partnered with the Italian engineering consultancy MR&D for the development and manufacture of these emergency lighting luminaires. 

Production started in 2014 and sub-assemblies have been shipped on a regular basis since then to Legrand’s facility in France for final assembly.
